About Us

 

Kalinga Divers Foundation Trust (KDF) was founded in 2008 by Dr. Sabir Bux, driven by a passion for promoting water sports and enhancing maritime safety in Odisha. Registered under the Society Act, our mission is to introduce and develop activities such as SCUBA diving, disaster training, underwater search and recovery, and underwater exploration. Over the years, we have been privileged to collaborate with a dedicated team that includes former Naval Marine Commandos, Marcos, marine engineers, and like-minded individuals who share our vision.

 

KDF has played a crucial role in providing SCUBA diving training to both the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and state disaster teams across India for several years. Our expertise extends to the Odisha Forest Department, where we have assisted in launching eco-tourism projects that promote sustainable practices while showcasing the natural beauty of Odisha’s aquatic environments.

 

As the sole organization in Odisha authorized to conduct SCUBA diving activities, Kalinga Divers Foundation is committed to fostering a culture of safety and adventure. We aim to empower individuals through our training programs, cultivate environmental awareness, and inspire a new generation of divers and ocean enthusiasts.
